The Madison County Retired Teachers Association (MCRTA) has been in existence since February 21, 1967. Madison County is the second largest school district, mile wise, in the state of Ohio. It is comprised of four school districts: Jonathan Alder (Plain City), London, Madison Plains, and West Jefferson. Tolles Technical Center, a vocational school located in Madison County, serves vocational students from the surrounding area.
The MCRTA has a proud heritage of keeping members active in volunteerism to schools and the community. It's members meet six times a year to enjoy contact with old and new friends, keep informed of legislative news, support local food pantries, and offer a yearly scholarships to future teachers from Madison County high schools. On the following pages you will find more information on this chapter which is an affiliate of Ohio Retired Teachers Association (ORTA).
